What sets the world of movies at the Sony Center apart from other cinemas is entertainment at its highest technical level, coupled with generous elegance. The CineStar Original, boasting eight screens (2,276 seats), and a large-format cinema, the CineStar IMAX showing 2D and 3D films, are lavishly designed movie theaters with outstanding technical features, thereby providing a glamorous setting for the annual International Berlin Film Festival. The CineStar Original only shows films in their original language versions.
The CineStar Original and the CineStar IMAX are operated by Kieft und Kieft Filmtheater GmbH. With its 55 screens and more than 16,000 seats, the CineStar UFA group is the biggest cinema operator in Berlin and market leader in Germany with over 90 movie theaters.
